Results of NovaPay lending in 2024: key figures and trends

2024 was a period of active development for NovaPay* lending. During this time, the company launched new loan products: installment plans and loans for business. The total amount of loans issued is UAH 1.7 billion.

Loans for business

In June last year, NovaPay announced loans for businesses and individual entrepreneurs who are residents of Ukraine and customers of Nova poshta and NovaPay. The total amount of loans issued in this segment reached UAH 281.4 million. This figure is a significant contribution to the financial support of small and medium-sized businesses.

Installment plan

In July 2024, installment plans became available to Ukrainians in the NovaPay app. The service has become one of the most popular. In six months, customers issued almost 97 thousand loans worth UAH 600 million. The average installment check is UAH 6,200.

Men were more likely to take out installment plans, with a share of 56%, and women — 44%. The most active users of the service are people aged 26-35 (41%), followed by customers under 25 (31%). The top regions in terms of the number of installment plans issued are the North (29%), the South (23%), and the West (20%).

Parcel on credit

NovaPay’s ‘Parcel on Credit’ is a well-known and demanded financial tool in 2024. This service was launched at the end of 2022, initially available only at Nova poshta branches. And with the mobile app launch, it was also available there. Currently, about 70% of parcel loans are issued through the app. Last year, Ukrainians made 123,000 such transactions, totaling UAH 746 million, and the average cheque is UAH 6,000. Most often, customers apply for ‘Parcel on Credit’ for clothes, cosmetics, automotive products, footwear, furniture, appliances, gadgets and accessories, and tools.

Women predominate among the users of this service – 53%, men – 47%. The most active age group is 26-35 (36%).

In 2025, NovaPay plans to expand its lending opportunities by launching new credit products for Ukrainians and businesses. The plan includes the implementation of a credit card.

NovaPay is an international financial service part of the NOVA group of companies (Nova poshta). It has provided online and offline payment services in more than 3,600 Nova poshta branches for 12 years. NovaPay was the first non-bank financial institution in Ukraine to receive an extended license from the NBU, which allowed it to open accounts and issue cards.
