Hryhorii Lisnychyi, Director of IT at NovaPay, is CIO of the Year

On 16 June, the best Ukrainian CIOs were awarded as part of the annual Best CIO competition according to the “Computer Review”. NovaPay CIO Hryhorii Lisnychyi was recognised as the CIO of the Year in the Finance and Insurance category.

“This award is the result of the daily work of the entire team. In 2024, we significantly changed the architecture of our systems and implemented several projects to transform the IT function and implement business systems. We process between 1.5 and 2.5 million payments daily. All critical resources have already been transferred to the cloud infrastructure, and the company’s cyber resilience is constantly growing which is fundamentally important for the NovaPay financial mobile application, and therefore for our customers,” commented Hryhorii Lisnychyi.

This is the second time that Hryhoriі Lisnychyi has been recognised as CIO of the Year, having first won the title in 2019.

As a reminder, the success of the NovaPay team has been recognised by other industry awards. This year, the company was recognised as Best Collaboration Fintech + Logistics at the annual FinTech Awards. In addition, NovaPay won three awards at once in the FinAwards 2025 based on the results of 2024: 1st place in the category “Leading Technologies and Innovations: Fintech”, 1st place for the “Best Loyalty Programme” (“Benefit” in the NovaPay mobile application), and 2nd place in the category “Best Investment Offer in Classic Assets”.

NovaPay is an international financial service that is part of the NOVA group of companies (Nova poshta). It has been providing online and offline payment services in more than 3,600 Nova poshta branches for almost 13 years. NovaPay was the first non-bank financial institution in Ukraine to receive an extended NBU licence, which allowed it to open accounts and issue cards.
