NovaPay introduces Apple Pay for Visa cardholders
28 October, 2025

A safer, more convenient, and private way to pay with your iPhone and Apple Watch
NovaPay, one of Ukraine’s leading fintech companies, now enables Visa cardholders to use Apple Pay. It’s a safer, more convenient, and private way to pay – helping users avoid handing over their card, touching buttons, or handling cash. It also leverages the power of the iPhone to protect every transaction.
Customers can simply hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near a payment terminal to make a contactless payment. Every purchase made with Apple Pay is secure, as it’s confirmed with Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode, along with a one-time dynamic security code. Apple Pay is accepted at supermarkets, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, cafés, shops, and many other locations.
Customers can also use Apple Pay on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for faster and more convenient purchases in apps or Safari without having to create an account or enter payment and contact details each time. Apple Pay makes it easy to pay for food delivery, online shopping, transport, parking, and more. Apple Pay is also available in Apple Watch apps.
Security and privacy are at the heart of Apple Pay. When customers use a credit or debit card with Apple Pay, the card numbers themselves are not stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead, each card is assigned a unique device account number, which is encrypted and stored securely in a special chip called the Secure Element.
Apple Pay is easy to set up. On an iPhone, simply open the Wallet app, tap ‘+’, and follow the instructions to add NovaPay cards. Once customers add a card to their iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac, they can start paying with Apple Pay immediately. All rewards and benefits associated with NovaPay cards are retained.
NovaPay is an international financial service by the NOVA (Nova Poshta) group of companies, which has been providing online and offline payment solutions in over 3,600 branches for 13 years. NovaPay became the first non-banking institution in Ukraine to receive an extended licence from the NBU to open accounts and issue cards.
