Roman Filonenko to lead Non-Banking Financial Sector Committee at SUP

The Committee for the Development of the Non-Banking Financial Sector of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs has a new chairman. Roman Filonenko, Director of the Legal Department at NovaPay, has been appointed to the position.

The committee’s key priorities include protecting market interests and introducing proportional regulation that reflects the specifics of non-bank financial organisations. It also focuses on developing ethical standards and self-regulation to improve market quality without excessive control. The committee will pay particular attention to strategic interaction with state bodies, regular dialogue with the NBU, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Tax Service, the preparation of analytical materials, and the coverage of market positions in the media.

‘Our goal is to create a modern and competitive non-banking financial sector where the rules of the game will promote business development and protect the interests of society. We strive for a balance between regulation and flexibility, which will allow the market to adapt to new challenges quickly,’ said Roman Filonenko.
