NovaPay has built one of the largest POS terminal networks in Ukraine

NovaPay continues to scale its technical infrastructure: today, more than 9,200 POS terminals operate in Nova poshta branches, covering almost all of the company’s locations.

The active development of its own terminal network began in October 2023. In just two years, NovaPay has built one of the largest POS terminal networks in Ukraine and ranked 4th among acquirers in terms of transaction volume.

‘We didn’t just install terminals, we built a full-fledged infrastructure that processes millions of transactions every month and operates more reliably than ever,’ comments Oleksii Ruban, Director of Innovation at NovaPay. “Dependence on external providers always carries risks: technical failures, delays, lack of control. By creating our own network of over 9,200 POS terminals, we have achieved the most important thing – complete control over service quality and every transaction.’

NovaPay’s proprietary infrastructure has increased system stability and reduced transaction processing time by almost one third – from 22 seconds to 15. This is critically important for branches with high customer traffic.

NovaPay is an international financial service of the NOVA Group (Nova poshta). It has been providing online and offline payment solutions in over 3,600 branches for 13 years. NovaPay became the first non-banking institution in Ukraine to receive an extended licence from the NBU to open accounts and issue cards.
