NovaPay Visa cardholders can now make payments via Google Pay

NovaPay Visa cardholders can now make payments via Google Pay. This makes it even more convenient and secure to pay for goods and services online and anywhere contactless payments are accepted.

Google Pay contactless payments are available on smartphones running Android 5.0 or later with built-in NFC. You can also make contactless payments using NFC-enabled smartwatches running Wear OS 2.0 or later.

To start using Google Pay on your smartphone:

  • download the free Google Wallet app from the Google Play Store;
  • add your NovaPay payment card details to your digital wallet.

To pay, simply activate your phone or unlock your smartphone screen with a password, pattern, or biometric authentication, and hold your device near the contactless payment terminal. When shopping online, you don’t need to enter your card details every time; with Google Pay, you can pay for your online purchases with just one click.

Payments made with the NovaPay Visa card using Google Pay are securely protected: the service uses a digital tokenisation platform that replaces the card number with a unique 16-digit code, or, in other words, a token. The token replaces the actual bank card details during payment, ensuring maximum transaction security.

NovaPay is an international financial service by the NOVA (Nova Poshta) group of companies, which has been providing online and offline payment solutions in over 3,600 branches for 13 years. NovaPay became the first non-banking institution in Ukraine to receive an extended licence from the NBU to open accounts and issue cards.
